The Resurrected King is Resurrecting Me
Our victory is in the resurrected King. His life lifted up our life too. In His life there is light. His light brightens and empowers us. Without resurrection there is no life or hope. But with it there is eternal life and hope. How has the resurrected King’s life resurrected you?
The two men walking to Emmaus in Luke 24 were downcast and depressed, without hope because their hope in Jesus was dead so they thought. They were even unable to recognize Him when He approached and talked with them, until He broke bread and gave thanks to His Father in heaven. They said, “Were not our hearts burning within us?” Has your heart ever been burning within you? When God comes and lives in you through His Holy Spirit you have a Holy fire in you, the power and love of God. What greater hope and infusion could there be? He will teach you all things and be with you always, never to leave or forsake you. This promise is the best news there can be. Nothing on earth can give you this assurance and peace. His presence burning within my heart gives me strength. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29). He is your defense and encourager and deliverer.
So how else does a resurrected life display itself? Is it in service to others’ it should be.
Is it in praising God continually, or praying continually (1 Thessalonians 15:16) says it does.
Are you lifted out of the mud and mire and set your feet on a solid rock where you could stand firm (Psalm 40).
Caste your anxieties upon Him and in due time He will lift you up (1 Peter 5:7).
In Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who are part of the first Resurrection with Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
How else has He resurrected you?
